Abstract

The present study investigated the correlation between occupational stress and job satisfaction of police officers in Punjab, Pakistan. The sample consisted of 300 senior police officers. The sample was further divided on the basis of gender differences. The sample was selected from Punjab, Pakistan. Survey research method was used for data collection. Police Stress Questionnaire (PSQ) was used for measuring the occupational stress and job satisfaction was measured by Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) scale. Results found that there is a negative correlation between occupational stress and job satisfaction. It was also found that female police officers have high occupational stress as compared to male police officers.
