Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti amalan dan strategi perlaksanaan elemen 4K 1N dalam pembelajaran dan pemudahcaraan abad 21 oleh guru-guru Tingkatan Enam di daerah Kubang Pasu dan mengkaji kesan perlaksanaan amalan 4K 1N kepada pelajar Tingkatan Enam. PAK21 merupakan satu pendekatan dilihat mampu memenuhi keperluan pendidikan pada masa kini serta mampu membawa perubahan baru dalam dunia pendidikan. Pendekatan ini juga adalah proses pembelajaran yang berpusatkan kepada murid dan mengandungi beberapa elemen penting iaitu komunikasi, kolaboratif, pemikiran kritis, kreativiti serta aplikasi nilai murni dan etika. Elemen-elemen ini juga disebut sebagai standard asas dalam PAK21. Secara keseluruhannya kajian ini mengaplikasikan kaedah Design and Development Research (DDR) iaitu kaedah campuran antara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Justifikasi pemilihan kaedah kajian ini berdasarkan kepada keperluan data kajian iaitu bagi mendapatkan maklumat demografi guru, selain memerlukan maklum balas guru terhadap perlaksanaan 4K 1N yang diamalkan dalam PdPc abad 21 di Tingkatan Enam. Terdapat tiga teknik pengumpulan data yang diaplikasikan dalam kajian ini iaitu soal selidik yang menggunakan skala Likert (kuantitatif) yang diedarkan kepada 66 orang guru selaku responden kajian, manakala temu bual dan pemerhatian (kualitatif) dilakukan ke atas 3 orang peserta kajian yang dipilih daripada kalangan 66 responden yang dipilih secara rawak. Data kuantitatif yang dikumpul, dianalisis secara analisis deskriptif kekerapan, peratusan, min dan sisihan piawai manakala data kualitatif dianalisis secara tematik iaitu berdasarkan tema-tema yang telah dibentuk melalui objektif kajian. Hasil kajian mendapati aplikasi elemen 4K 1N menerusi program Tingkatan Enam ini telah dijadikan amalan dalam PdPc guru-guru. Iaitu pada tahap tinggi (min=4.15). Analisis berdasarkan empat konsep 4K dan 1N menunjukkan aspek kreatif (min= 4.03), pemikiran kritis (min=4.09), kolaboratif (min= 3.98) berada pada tahap terendah. Manakala aspek komunikasi (min=4.33) dan nilai (min 4.34) menunjukkan amalan pada tahap tinggi. Dapatan ujian t menunjukkan bahawa tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan bagi tahap amalan 4K 1N guru Tingkatan Enam PPD Kubang Pasu dari aspek pengalaman mengajar (t = -1.101 ; p = .279). Namun demikian terdapat elemen tertentu yang masih perlu diperkukuhkan oleh guru-guru yang mengajar Tingkatan Enam bagi melahirkan modal insan yang berkualiti.

This study aims to identify the practices and strategies of implementing 4K 1N elements in 21st Century teaching and learning by Sixth grade teachers in Kubang Pasu district and to study the impact of implementing 4K 1N practices on Form Six students. PAK21 is an approach that is able to meet the current educational needs and bring about new changes in the education world. This approach is also a student-centered learning process and contains several key elements namely communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity and the application of pure and ethical values. These elements are also referred to as the standard in PAK21. Overall, this study applied the Design and Development Research (DDR) method, a quantitative and qualitative mixed method. The justification of this method of study is based on the need for research data to obtain teacher demographic information, as well as requiring teacher feedback on the implementation of 4K 1N practiced in the 21st Century PdPc in Form Six. There were three data collection techniques applied in this study, a questionnaire using a Likert scale (quantitative) distributed to 66 teachers as survey respondents, while interviews and observations (qualitative) were conducted on 3 study participants selected from among 66 randomly selected respondents. The quantitative data collected were analyzed by descriptive analysis of frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation while qualitative data were thematically analyzed based on themes formed through the study objectives. The results showed that the application of 4K 1N elements through the Form Six program was practiced in PdPc teachers. That is, at the high level (mean = 4.15). Analyzes based on four 4K and 1N concepts showed that the creative aspects (min = 4.03), critical thinking (min = 4.09), collaborative (min = 3.98) were at their lowest. While the communication aspect (mean = 4.33) and value (mean 4.34) show high level of practice. The t test results showed that there was no significant difference in the level of 4K 1N teachers in Form Six PPD Kubang Pasu in terms of teaching experience (t = -1.101; p = .279). However, there are certain elements that still need to be reinforced by teachers who teach Form Six in order to produce quality human capital.
