Kajian ini bertujuan untuk melihat tahap kemahiran generik dan pencapaian akademik serta melihat hubungan kemahiran generik dengan pencapaian akademik di kalangan pelajar IPG Kampus Ipoh. Kajian telah dijalankan ke atas 70 pelajar semester enam Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perguruan IPG Kampus Ipoh. Kajian tinjauan ini menggunakan soal selidik Kemahiran Generik daripada penyelidik lepas dan pencapaian akademik berasaskan PNGS semester berkenaan. Instrumen kemahiran generik berkenaan mengandungi 8 dimensi iaitu akademik dan kemahiran penyelesaian masalah, kemahiran interpersonal, pengetahuan komuniti dan kewarganegaraan, kemahiran kepimpinan, keberkesanan profesional, maklumat dan komunikasi literasi, pemikiran kritikal dan kemahiran pengurusan diri. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan tahap kemahiran generik dan tahap pencapaian akademik adalah tinggi. Seterusnya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kemahiran generik dengan pencapaian akademik. Ini bermakna kemahiran generik membantu meningkatkan pencapaian akademik pelajar IPG Kampus Ipoh.
The purpose of this study was to look at the level of generic skills and academic achievement and to see the relationship of generic skills with academic achievement among students of IPG Campus Ipoh. The study was conducted on 70 students of sixth semester Bachelor of Teaching IPG Kampus Ipoh. This study used the Generic Skills questionnaire from previous researcher and academic achievement based on PNGS semester. The generic skills instruments comprise 8 dimensions namely academic and problem solving skills, interpersonal skills, community and citizenship skills, leadership skills, professional effectiveness, information and communication literacy, critical thinking and self- management skills. The findings show that generic skills and academic achievement levels are high. Next, there is a significant relationship between generic skills and academic achievement. This means that generic skills help improve the academic achievement of the IPG Campus Ipoh students.
