Abstract

Kajian ini dijalankan adalah untuk mengkaji adakah kemahiran berfikir aras tinggi (KBAT) matematik pelajar dapat ditingkatkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran luar bilik darjah (PLBD). Justeru itu, satu kerangka perancangan telah dibuat terhadap Taksonomi Bloom semakan semula meliputi konstruk menganalisis, mengaplikasi, menilai dan mencipta. Sampel kajian ini melibatkan 60 pelajar tingkatan satu Sekolah Menengah Agama Bandar Tenggara, Kulai, Johor. Dalam menjalankan kajian ini, data dikumpul melalui kajian keputusan ujian pra dan ujian pos sebelum dan selepas menjalankan aktiviti PLBD. Hasil daripada analisis data menunjukkan bahawa aktiviti pengajaran dan pembelajaran (PdP) yang bertunjangkan aktiviti PLBD dapat meningkatkan penguasaan KBAT matematik pelajar. Dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan signifikasi yang positif terhadap peningkatan KBAT pelajar dalam matematik dengan menggunakan pendekatan PLBD bagi tahap mengaplikasi, menganalisis, menilai dan mencipta. Kajian ini diharapkan dapat memberi manfaat kepada semua pihak bahawa kaedah PLBD ini sebagai satu bukti keberkesanan dalam proses pemerkasaan KBAT.

This study was conducted to examine whether the students' mathematical high order thinking skills (HOTS) can be improved by using the learning outside the classroom (LOtC) approach. Hence, a framework of planning has been made on Bloom's Taxonomy review covering constructing, applying, evaluating and creating constructs. The sample of this study involved 60 Former students of Bandar Tenggara Religious Secondary School, Kulai, Johor. In conducting this study, data were collected through pre-test and post test results before and after LOtC activities. The result of the data analysis shows that the teaching and learning activities (T&L) which are supported by LOtC activities can increase the mastery of the students' mathematical HOTS. The findings showed that there were positive significance differences in the improvement of HOTS students in mathematics using the LOtC approach for applying, analyzing, evaluating and creating levels. This study is expected to benefit all parties that this LOtC method is a proof of effectiveness in the process of empowering HOTS.
