Bukit Nanas is located in the centre of Kuala Lumpur. A massive slope failure has occurred at Bukit Nanas that caused tremendous effects, where nine vehicles have buried and causing a massive traffic jam due to main road closure. A slope remedial works need to be taken to rehabilitate the slope, since this location is critical as it connects many places in Kuala Lumpur. Slope stability analysis was carried out using a well-established computer program ‘SLOPE/W’ developed by GEOSLOPE. The analysis method adopted is Morgenstern-Price’s Method. Two types of remedial work have been proposed, which are, Option 1: reinforced concrete wall and soil nail and Option 2: crib wall and soil nail. The effectiveness of these remedial works were accessed in terms of Factor of Safety (FOS). Cost construction and work duration were analysed using Microsoft Project that will project the time and cost of each project. It was found that Option 1 met the Malaysia Public Work Department safety guideline for slope. The results also show that Option 1 is more efficient compared to Option 2 in term of construction cost and work duration.
